The new JFC Bracketz design is available from Grille Technologies

The weather lifted enough yesterday for me to insert rubber washers on my rightside bag to make it more vertical. I used two thick ones on the lower rear hole and one thick washer on the lower front hole. The "putty & paint" proverb has now been satisfied. :)

The new JFC Bracketz design is available from Grille Technologies

Now that we've refined the design, every set Grille Tech produces, will be the same. I assure you that the JFC Bracketz are as perfect as they can be, and actually sport much better overall quality than the originals that JFC's local shop ever produced. The adjustable slots we added to allow...

The new JFC Bracketz design is available from Grille Technologies

I re-installed my full sized HD style touring trunk yesterday, which then exaggeraged the slight tilt from vertical for the right side bag. One or two thick washers at the most, installed on the lower mounting bolts should do the trick. It is a rare rainy morning around here, so I'll see about...

    My new Russell Daylong arrived!

I forgot to mention that with this particular unit, that you get a total of 3 C02 cartridges! They normally go for just under $30 each.

    My new Russell Daylong arrived!

Looks like this is my day for reviews. This one isn't about my CTX per se, but for an add-on accessory that facilitates my riding more safely on the trike. Believe it or not, an air bag wrapped around my old fat body does help assuage my wife's peak terror during those few times I'm out...

    My new Russell Daylong arrived!

I had the occasion to take a longer ride yesterday with my church group. They do this every 2nd Sunday, weather permitting and yesterday the weather not only permitted, it was pretty much required (it was glorious!). It was the kind of weather that the Chambers of Commerce brag about. We had...

    My new Russell Daylong arrived!

This is for Woodswoman, first, but anyone else considering doing a Russell DayLong conversion for their CTX: I remember you mentioning somewhere that you had wished you had ordered the RDL backrest when you built yours a couple years ago. After 3.5 hours in the saddle today using the one I got...

The new JFC Bracketz design is available from Grille Technologies

Look, I do have a drill press and wouldn't want to have to drill 3/16" plate steel. I pity the person with an 18 volt hand drill, which is why I wanted them there from the get go.

The new JFC Bracketz design is available from Grille Technologies

The improvements Daddy Dave & I came up with really make these Bracketz work great. Pre-drilling mounting holes for 5/16" bolts and/or user tapping for 3/16" bolts really helps user installations. Drilling thru 3/16" plate steel is no mean task unless one has a full sized floor model drill...

    My new Russell Daylong arrived!

They are Matazu's and this is the source: https://www.mutazu.com/collections/parts-for-universal/products/hl-universal-motorcycle-hard-saddle-bags-road-star-vtx-c90-vulcan They are "mid-range" in quality and price. I'm satisfied with them. I bought a set of their "RS" first...

The new JFC Bracketz design is available from Grille Technologies

Okay, I installed today the Bracketz I just bought from Grille Tech. Ryan offered me the set of bare metal Bracketz prototypes we made early on, gratis, which I thought about at first. However, I liked the final changes so much, that I decided in favor of a powder coated production set...

    My new Russell Daylong arrived!

Okay, I got Karen to climb aboard today as I had hoped for a dry fitting. Lo & behold, she commented right away how much more comfortable the new seat was over the Corbin. She also liked the repositioning of the bags (no more crowding of her legs). I'll be working on the installation of the...

    My new Russell Daylong arrived!

Thank you ma'am, me hope too!! I'm working on installing the vintage GoldWing passenger backrest today. In fact, I'm about to drag Karen out there to have her climb aboard for a "dry fit" of the backrest and arm rests. Fingers crossed!!

    My new Russell Daylong arrived!

I had the occasion to go down to Grille Tech to see if my JFC Bracketz were done. So I rolled out the trike and tried out the new seat. My initial reaction was that I didn't overpay for this seat! It felt like I was sitting on a couple of MyPillows and I'm so looking forward to a few hours on...

    My new Russell Daylong arrived!

Roger that, I got the cover. After all, I live in FL where sudden, localized showers are a way of life! I'm adding back my big rear trunk so I have plenty of space for it.

    My new Russell Daylong arrived!

On Monday, I got back from our great, 10 day trip to Maggie Valley, NC, and was greeted by my Russell Daylong (RDL) custom seat conversion that arrived last Friday. The box was in great condition and the packing job was first class. The seat & two back rests were all in perfect condition...

    Custom designed passenger arm rests

Custom designed passenger arm rests for sale In the course of trying to entice my wife to ride with me, I wanted her to have arm rests (ala like the GoldWings). There were not many choices that I could adapt to the CTX. The best I found were these: Arm Rest Products The price wasn't too...

Custom Corbin Seat plus two back rests

{SOLD!} Custom Corbin Seat plus two back rests Well, the time has come for me to let go of my custom Corbin seat. As a lot of folks say, after it was broken in it has been quite comfortable for me, however, it has not ever been so for my darling wife. It was just too hard for her, ergo she...

    Givi model 1133FZ rear rack

I have a NOS Givi model 1133FZ rear rack for sale, complete with all the factory supplied necessary bolt and spacers. It was totally unused except for sitting on my shelf for 3 years and attempting to mount it up with the JFC Bracketz for a test fitting. BTW, It failed, however, this rack...
