Hi! I'm Dan and very happy to be on this forum. I'm retired from the USN (Vietnam Vet). I worked many years in the retail auto parts field until I retired fully. Now it's take it easy time. I do have stage 3 COPD but I'm still riding. I went to my CTX700 because of the weight distribution - easy for me to maneuver around. Been riding over 60 years and not giving it up yet - not as fast as I used to be, but still give myself the "pucker factor".

And here's another welcome from over in New York State.

The low center of gravity and good road manners of this bike make it a great choice. It's not a rocket ship, but it holds its own. It's a very good all-arounder, and as you have observed it doesn't weigh like sin.

What year is your CTX? Fairing, or 'naked'? Manual clutch or DCT?
