oooooh yes, that's a difficult one. I love my CTX700 but i've heard loads of great things about the bolt too. have you test rode them both?

If he is a starter I would go with the moped! I loved mine (i had one first) and thought it was great. It's good at building up your confidence and teaches you a lot before you go out on a bike that is very powerful. I think a moped would be a great first choice:)

I'm a woman to and this upsets me, in the uk practically everything is manual anyway! it seems strange when people drive automatic in this country. it's seen as being a bit lazy haha
